Omega 3 fish oils distributed by Renew Life Canada Inc. are now carrying Friend of the Sea seal of approval, following a successful audit.
Fish oils are sourced from Peruvian anchovies, European sardines and menhaden. All species are fished by Friend of the Sea approved purse seiners. Renew Life has demonstrated to be compliant with Friend of the Sea strict sustainability criteria, which requires target species stocks to be not overfished and the fishery to apply adequate management measures. The fishery does not by-catch vulnerable endangered species and the seabed is not impacted.
Renew Life purchases oils only from Friend of the Sea approved suppliers. A certified Chain of Custody guarantees the sustainable origin of the products.
“We are proud to be now certified Friend of the Sea. It is part of our policy to use resources in a sustainable way and this is an important additional recognition for our Company” says Thomas Bedford, President of Renew Life Canada.
