Global Sustainability Leader, the World Sustainability Organization (WSO) is set to hold the first edition of WSO Day on September 23rd 2023, in the prestigious Via Santa Marta 18, Milan, Italy.
The day is set aside to provide stakeholders with important information and updates on the Friend of the Sea and Friend of the Earth projects; it will serve as the prime gathering of key players in the sustainability sector annually.
WSO Day Unveils Global Sustainability
World Sustainability Organization was founded in 2008 by Sustainability Expert, Paolo Bray, with the aim to promote environmental protection and conservation through certifications of sustainable products and services.
WSO operates two internationally recognised consumer friendly certification schemes – Friend of the Sea (FOS) and Friend of the Earth (FOE). Currently, more than 2,000 companies bear the Friend of the Sea and Friend of the Earth logos on over 5,000 products, across 80 countries. The World Sustainability Foundation, is a non-profit organization, dedicated to global social solidarity which has been in operation since 2022, it already leads over 25 conservation projects globally.
The much anticipated WSO Day arose with the aim of serving as an annual networking event of the World Sustainability Organization and Foundation, to update and engage stakeholders on the projects and initiatives being carried out by Friend of the Sea and Friend of the Earth, across the globe.
WSO Day 2023
The event which is entirely free of charge, will begin at 10am on Saturday, September 23rd 2023. It will entail speeches on environmental issues, testimonials by certified companies, details on conservation projects and the introduction of new standards. The maiden WSO Day will be crowned by a spectacular fashion show and cocktail; Friend of the Earth certified fashion brands from Italy and around the world will showcase their pieces, walked by models treated in compliance with the principles of ethics.
Speakers and attendees include, WSO Founder and Director – Paolo Bray, WSO President – Franco Bray, Representatives of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, Friend of the Sea and Friend of the Earth Certified Companies, as well as Producers, Distributors, Media, Stakeholder Institutions and NGO’s, who will provide information on market trends in the world of sustainability, including an update on the various standards developed by WSO under the Friend of the Sea and Friend of the Earth certifications.
