Friend of the Sea new Radio and TV awareness campaign reaches millions in Europe

Friend of the Sea (FOS) announces a new TV Campaign for the Italian and Swiss audience to be followed by similar initiatives in Spain and other countries.

The commercial broadcasting started in Italy on the 2nd of February, at prime time on a major TV channel. Over 5,000,000 viewers will be reached – almost 10% of Italy’s population. The TV campaign follows a radio campaign aired in December on the major radio stations.

In Switzerland, the campaign will be watched by approximately 700,000 people (10% of the Swiss population) from the second week of February till the end of March. FOS advertisement for the Swiss TV is translated in French, German and Italian and it will be aired on all 7 major TV channels.

The TV spots introduce viewers to the Friend of the Sea certification, highlighting companies’ engagment in environmental conservation and social accountability.

“We believe”, explains Paolo Bray, Director of FOS, “that by increasing consumer’s awareness of our logo, we will consequently motivate distributors and producers to implement sustainable company policies.”
