Friend of the Sea launches “Sustainable Friends” awareness Festival across famous Mediterranean holiday locations

Posidonia Sustainable Friends Festival

Friend of the Sea launches this year’s “Posidonia Sustainable Friends Festival”, which will take place across key Mediterranean locations in Italy and Spain.

Established in 2008, the Festival brings together art, culture and environment, in order to support sustainable development initiatives, share innovative solutions to international environmental issues and raise awareness among the general public. The event participants, including institutions, NGOs and private companies will contribute to the organization of a plethora of activities, such as exhibitions, workshops and contests.

In addition, the Festival will be the ideal opportunity to discover Sustainable Friends, an interactive platform launched earlier this year thanks to the common efforts of Friend of the Sea and Friend of the Earth. In a nutshell, the platform is an innovative non-profit space where people and companies can launch sustainable initiatives and get involved in conservation projects worldwide.

“We are enthusiastic about moving forward with our communications efforts directed to consumers,” says Paolo Bray, Founder and Director of Friend of the Sea. “Posidonia Sustainable Friends Festival is an ideal moment to share our activities and values with the international audience.”

The Festival will start in Sitges, Spain from June 8-12, 2016, and will then move to Vigo, Spain, from July 15-16, 2016. The final stop of the Festival will be Santa Margherita Ligure, Italy, from September 1-4, 2016.
