Australian Naturalcare Calamari Oil 1000 with FoS certification is now available in Australia

Friend of the Sea is proud to announce that leading Australian direct to consumer brand Australian NaturalCare has launched Calamari Oil 1000 with the Friend of the Sea seal of approval. Australian NaturalCare Calamari Oil 1000 contains Calamarine® concentrated squid oil produced by Pharma Marine.

Pharma Marine is the only producer of concentrated squid oil to have obtained Friend of the Sea certification. The raw material to make concentrated Calamarine oil comes from the by-products from food production of squid. There is full traceability throughout the supply chain from the fisheries to the state-of-the-art Pharma Marine manufacturing facility through to the consumer product supplied by Australian NaturalCare.

“In light of growing concerns about the ongoing viability and sustainability of fisheries around the world, Australian NaturalCare are excited to be associated with Friend of the Sea as part of our commitment to a more sustainable future”, stated CEO and sustainability advocate, Peter Jamieson.

“We are glad that FOS certified Calamarine® now will be available for Australians in the direct to consumer channel. Calamarine® is probably one of the most environmental friendly and sustainable high DHA source available. Science confirms that we need supplementation of DHA and EPA to maintain good health throughout the human cycle of life”, said Pharma Marine CEO Leif Kjetil Gjendemsjø.

“We really appreciate Australian NaturalCare’s efforts and commitment to sustainability in the Australian market”, adds Paolo Bray, Director of Friend of the Sea.
