NovoSana achieves Friend of the Sea certification for Omega – 3

NovoSana (Taicang) Co. Ltd – a company specialized in manufacturing of nutritional oils located close to Shanghai – has recently obtained the Friend of the Sea certification for Omega – 3 products originating from healthy stocks of a variety of species, including anchovies, sardines and tuna trimmings.

NovoSana receives raw materials from Friend of the Sea approved fisheries, which operate in different areas of the Atlantic, Indian and Pacific Oceans. Fish stocks are not overfished or overexploited in those areas.

In addition, the presence of a specific traceability system assures that certified products respect the certification requirements, excluding the possibility of a mix with non-certified products.

“Friend of the Sea certification sends a very clear message to our customers regarding our strong commitment to sustainability,” explains Jan Willem Ypma, CEO of NovoSana. “Marine habitat preservation is a priority at NovoSana. We are proud to receive Friend of the Sea certification as NovoSana is committed to deliver high quality and sustainable Omega-3 products globally.”
