Korean company Chemport achieves Friend of the Sea certification for Omega – 3

Chemport Inc

Chemport – a South Korean company specialized in manufacturing of highly concentrated fish oils – has recently obtained Friend of the Sea certification for Omega – 3 products originating from healthy stocks of European and Peruvian anchovies.

The two species are caught respectively in the Southeastern Pacific Ocean and the Central Eastern Atlantic Ocean by FOS- approved fleets.

The presence of a specific traceability system assures that certified products respect the certification requirements. All fish oils ingredients originate from FOS-certified suppliers, excluding the possibility of a mix with non-certified products.

“We at Chemport have always been deeply engaged in protecting the marine environment,” explains Kim Young-Joo, Chemport’s CEO. “Being certified by Friend of the Sea reinforces our sustainability efforts.
