Friend of the Sea is featured in this week’s issue of Time (British Isles edition). The international organization involved in promoting seafood sustainability chose the prestigious weekly magazine to boost its visibility among British decision makers and consumers. “This is just the first of 12 messages which are going to appear as a series of advertisements over the next 24 months in Time to highlight producers of Friend of the Sea certified products,” explains Paolo Bray, Director of Friend of the Sea. “Sustainable seafood champions will be acknowledged in this major world weekly news magazine.”
In this first issue of the Friend of the Sea initiative in Time magazine, Mr. Stephen Cameron – Managing Director of the Scottish Shellfish Marketing Group – announces that SSMG is a “Friend of the Sea”. Its farmed mussels achieved the Friend of the Sea certification, which rewards the company’s commitment to environmentally sustainable production.
