VitalSea Omega-3 krill oil supplements by Swiss Oleosea now sustainable according to FoS

Oleosea’s chain of custody audit has confirmed that its Omega-3 supplements branded VitalSea have obtained from Friend of the Sea  the sustainability certification of Neptune Technologies & Bioressources. Oleosea has thus obtained authorization to use the Friend of the Sea logo on its packaging and marketing material.
Following an audit, Oleosea confirms that Vitalsea, its omega-3 krill oil supplement, has obtained the Friend of the Sea (FOS) certification for the sustainable harvest of krill manufactured by Neptune Technologies & Bioressources Inc.  Consequently, this allows Oleosea to use the Friend of the Sea logo on its packaging and marketing material.
Neptune obtained the FOS certification by complying with strict krill sustainability criteria, which ensure that the stock is not overfished, the fishery is in compliance with the management measures, there’s no bycatch of endangered species and there is no adverse impact on the ecosystem or seabed.
“We know our customers have a strong awareness for environmental and conservation issues and Friend of the Sea recognition is an additional confirmation of Oleosea’s engagement toward sustainable use of our planet’s resources’ concludes Marganne Richard, CEO of Oleosea.
“Friend of the Sea has become the standard for sustainability in the Omega-3 supplements industry.” comments Friend of the Sea founder, Paolo Bray.
