German manufacturer of natural products meets high standards for preservation of the marine environment
Friend of the Sea, the preeminent certification standard for products and services that respect and protect the marine environment, announced today that it has certified Cellavent Healthcare GmbH for adhering to sustainable practices in the production of Omega 3 fishoil products. Cellavent can now display the Friend of the Sea eco-label on its White Omega brand.
“Cellavent Healthcare demonstrates the business potential for combining a passion for quality and science with a strong commitment to the environment,” said Paolo Bray, Director of Friend of the Sea. “Their success attests to the value of this approach.” Cellavent’s Omega 3 products are distinctive for their purity and low levels of oxidation (TOTOX). Using specialized filtration techniques, the company has also kept the level of pollutants and microplastics in the product at more than 100 times less than the EU regulations recommend. The company, based in Dusseldorf, works exclusively with sustainable producers that do not use genetic engineering.
Cellavent’s White Omega product line contains fish-oil without any additives or other ingredients from a very clean and high-quality source. “As a family-run, sustainable healthcare company we always strive to offer the best quality healthcare products for our customers, while protecting natural resources,” said a spokes person for Cellavent. “We use fishoil, which comes from sustainable, certified wild catch of anchovies, a non-endangered fish species. We are proud and delighted to receive the Friend of the Sea certification.”
