Swedish company Cawells achieves Friend of the Sea certification for Omega – 3
Cawells – Swedish company specialized in manufacturing of health food and dietary supplements – has recently obtained Friend of the Sea certification for Omega – 3 products originating from healthy stocks of European sardine, chub mackerel and European and Peruvian anchovies.
With the exception of the Peruvian anchovy, coming from the Pacific Southeast, all the species are fished in the Eastern Central part of the Atlantic Ocean through selective purse seine method.
Cawells has been producing a wide range of products, including Omega – 3 fish oils, following strict quality and safety rules, for over 25 years.
“Offering high-quality clean and safe food supplements is our main priority,” says Ingmar Davidsson, Sales and Market Manager at Cawells. “Friend of the Sea has become a leading ecolabel for sustainable fisheries, bringing an additional value to our products.”
