In order to promote environmental sustainability in the seafood sector, the <strong>Albanian Government <\/strong>has recently decided by <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/192.168.1.90mediaNr. 72\">Decree of February 9th<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0 <strong>to support with 50% of the value of certificate validation<\/strong> the <strong>national companies<\/strong> willing to embrace <strong>Friend of the Sea standard for sustainable seafood and aquaculture<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p>Friend of the Sea has been invited by the <strong>Ministry of Rural Development and Aquaculture<\/strong> to attend meetings with institutions in Tirana and lead a workshop about the certification with major Albanian companies operating in the sector.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Roland Kristo<\/strong>, Vice Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, declares:\u00a0 \u201c<em>The Ministry is focused on promoting practices for responsible and sustainable fisheries and aquaculture.
