CFTO compte 13 navires de p\u00eache \u00e0 la senne coulissante et est la plus grande flottille thoni\u00e8re fran\u00e7aise.<\/p>\n<p>Les thons albacore, listao, patudo et germon portent donc le label Friend of the Sea. La flottille a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9valu\u00e9e conforme aux crit\u00e8res Friend of the Sea pour la p\u00eache durable et consid\u00e9r\u00e9e bien g\u00e9r\u00e9e. La flotte de CFTO op\u00e8re pour partie en Oc\u00e9an Atlantique (zones FAO 34 et 47) et en Oc\u00e9an Indien (zones FAO 51 et 57).<\/p>\n<p>Tous ses navires sont enregistr\u00e9s aupr\u00e8s de la CICTA (Commission Internationale pour la Conservation des Thonid\u00e9s de l\u2019Atlantique) et aupr\u00e8s de la CTOI (Commission des Thons de l&#8217;Oc\u00e9an Indien) et ils p\u00eachent en conformit\u00e9 avec les recommandations de ces Organisations R\u00e9gionales de P\u00eache. La flottille est \u00e9galement reconnue par le programme <a href=\"http:\/\/www.earthisland.org\/dolphinSafeTuna\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dolphin Safe<\/a> de l\u2019Earth Island Institute.<\/p>\n<p>CFTO a une politique de p\u00eache responsable visant \u00e0 minimiser l&#8217;impact sur les poissons immatures et d&#8217;autres esp\u00e8ces associ\u00e9es. Les prises accessoires ne repr\u00e9sentent que 2,6% du total. L&#8217;utilisation de filets, non-maillants, r\u00e9duit les r\u00e9percussions des Dispositifs de Concentration de Poisson (DCP).
