L\u2019Area Marina Protetta delle Isole Pelagie racchiude il cuore della biodiversit\u00e0 del Mare Mediterraneo. Tra Lampedusa, Linosa e l\u2019isolotto di Lampione \u00e8 infatti possibile imbattersi in una variet\u00e0 marina elevatissima, sia di fauna sia di flora. La bella notizia \u00e8 che solo indossando maschera, boccaglio e pinne si pu\u00f2 godere di una gran parte di queste meraviglie marine.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00c8 importante per\u00f2 che fare snorkeling non diventi un\u2019attivit\u00e0 dannosa per pesci, alghe, spugne e che chi si addentra sott\u2019acqua rispetti precise regole per proteggere la biodiversit\u00e0. Per questo motivo\u00a0<\/span>Friend of the Sea\u00ae<\/span><\/a>, standard globale per prodotti e servizi che rispettano e tutelano l\u2019oceano, ha creato una certificazione specifica per gli operatori turistici che offrono attivit\u00e0 di snorkeling dando indicazioni chiare su come essere responsabili e svolgere le escursioni in modo sostenibile.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

L\u2019AMP delle Isole Pelagie ha recentemente ricevuto la certificazione \u201c<\/span>Sustainable Snorkeling<\/a><\/span>\u201d da Friend of the Sea\u00ae. Ci\u00f2 significa che le attivit\u00e0 organizzate dall\u2019Area Protetta rispettano i criteri previsti da Friend of the Sea\u00ae per ottenere il riconoscimento, come il divieto per i turisti di toccare o dare da mangiare agli organismi marini e per gli operatori l\u2019obbligo di partecipare a corsi di formazione e aggiornamento.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

L’AMP delle Isole Pelagie<\/span><\/a>\u00a0porta avanti l\u2019attivit\u00e0 di snorkeling dal 2019, nell’ambito del programma \u201cTartaworld\u201d, parte del progetto Tartalife. Antonella Di Gangi guida i turisti per le acque di Lampedusa, mentre Irene Cambera per quelle di Linosa. Lo staff \u00e8 poi composto da Elena Principato, coordinatrice scientifica dell’AMP e da Giovanni Raptis, uno degli esperti operatori che conducono i gommoni. L’attivit\u00e0 viene svolta una volta a settimana, condizioni meteo permettendo, dura circa un’ora ed \u00e8 gratuita.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In base ai criteri previsti da Friend of the Sea\u00ae, i gruppi di snorkeling sono composti da massimo 8 partecipanti al tour pi\u00f9 una guida professionista. Prima di partire, gli operatori di Lampedusa e Linosa forniranno informazioni accurate sulle questioni ambientali relative all’habitat marino e su come ognuno pu\u00f2 contribuire a ridurre il proprio impatto. Spiegheranno che c\u2019\u00e8 una distanza minima da non superare quando si avvista una specie, nel caso delle tartarughe marine, ad esempio, questa distanza \u00e8 di due metri. E che \u00e8 proibito spostare qualsiasi organismo marino o raccogliere conchiglie o coralli da tenere come souvenir.<\/span><\/p>\n

Regole specifiche sono poi previste per i rifiuti: \u00e8 vietato l\u2019uso di plastica monouso a bordo e l\u2019invito per i turisti \u00e8 di raccogliere qualsiasi tipo di rifiuto trovato durante lo snorkeling e riportarlo a bordo della barca. Sar\u00e0 poi la compagnia ad occuparsi di smaltire correttamente la spazzatura.<\/span><\/p>\n

Semplicemente nuotando sott\u2019acqua, con maschera e pinne, ci si trover\u00e0 faccia a faccia con pesci pappagallo, varie specie di tordi, giovani cernie brune, pesci coniglio, diversi tipi di spugne, madrepore arancioni e stelle marine.<\/span><\/p>\n

Con la certificazione Snorkeling Sostenibile di Friend of the Sea\u00ae, l\u2019AMP si impegna ulteriormente a supportare lo sviluppo di buone prassi volte al turismo sostenibile e all\u2019educazione ambientale<\/i>\u201d,\u00a0ha dichiarato Paolo Bray, Fondatore e Direttore di Friend of the Sea\u00ae.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n
