data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Sebbene comunemente chiamati balene, i beluga (<em>Delphinapterus leucas<\/em>) sono in realt\u00e0 pi\u00f9 strettamente imparentati con i delfini. Conosciuti anche come &#8220;balene bianche&#8221; o &#8220;canarini del mare&#8221; per i loro vocalizzi acuti, sono talvolta chiamati &#8220;balene dalla testa a melone&#8221; per via del prominente organo frontale a forma di melone usato per l\u2019ecolocalizzazione. Diffusi nelle regioni artiche, i beluga hanno sviluppato adattamenti unici all\u2019ambiente, come l\u2019assenza della pinna dorsale, che consente loro di nuotare agevolmente sotto i ghiacci. Possono raggiungere i 5,5 metri di lunghezza e un peso di 1,6 tonnellate. Sono animali sociali, che vivono in gruppi di circa dieci individui, anche se queste aggregazioni possono estendersi a centinaia o addirittura migliaia di esemplari in estuari e zone costiere poco profonde. Si nutrono in modo opportunistico: la loro dieta, variabile a seconda della localit\u00e0, comprende calamari, pesci, granchi, vongole e polpi. Tuttavia, i beluga oggi affrontano minacce significative dovute ai cambiamenti climatici, che alterano le loro aree di caccia e i percorsi migratori a causa dello scioglimento di iceberg e ghiacciai. Altri problemi includono malattie infettive, collisioni con navi, caccia a scopo ricreativo e inquinamento. In quanto predatori al vertice della catena alimentare, la loro scomparsa romperebbe l\u2019equilibrio ecologico, causando una sovrappopolazione delle specie predate. Le attivit\u00e0 includono campagne contro la caccia alle balene e la creazione della <strong>prima riserva per balene<\/strong> destinate alla riabilitazione degli esemplari ex-cattivit\u00e0.<\/p><p>Il progetto della riserva, ispirato da Hvaldimir, punta a \u201cri-selvatichire\u201d le balene tenute in cattivit\u00e0, offrendo loro un rifugio sicuro nel loro habitat artico naturale. La prima beneficiaria sar\u00e0 <strong>Bella<\/strong>, una giovane beluga attualmente confinata in una vasca di vetro all\u2019interno di un centro commerciale in Corea del Sud.<\/p><p>Oltre a Bella, ci sono centinaia di beluga e orche costrette a vivere in vasche minuscole in tutto il mondo. L\u2019obiettivo finale dell\u2019iniziativa \u00e8 fornire a questi animali opportunit\u00e0 di riabilitazione o reintroduzione in natura. Il progetto si \u00e8 anche ampliato per includere un <strong>centro artico di salvataggio per la fauna marina<\/strong>, che ospiter\u00e0 lontre, trichechi e foche, offrendo loro una seconda
