KinOmega, global manufacturer and supplier of ultra-pure and highly concentrated marine Omega-3 for nutritional and pharmaceutical application, has positively concluded the Friend of the Sea audit.
KinOmega sources its raw material only from Friend of the Sea approved origins: tuna trimmings; Peruvian and European anchovy fisheries.
Endangered species are not by-caught in the process and marine protected areas are respected. Chain of custody is in place from vessel to finished product, ensuring separation between approved and not approved origins.
“Our customers and Omega-3 end consumers are concerned about the potential overexploitation of fish stocks and consequently they appreciate our efforts to source only from approved sustainable fisheries and trimmings.”, stated Mr. Daniel Zhang, Vice President of KinOmega. “We requested Friend of the Sea to verify and confirm our compliance to sustainability practices, as Friend of the Sea has become the industry standard for this scope”.
