The achievement confirms that WeWhale meets some of the world\u2019s strictest environmental and animal\u2011welfare standards, reinforcing its role as a frontrunner in responsible marine tourism.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Friend of the Sea, founded by environmentalist Paolo Bray, assesses operators against rigorous criteria that include reducing noise pollution, adhering to responsible approach guidelines, protecting ecosystems, and contributing to conservation initiatives. To earn the certification, whale-watching vessels must maintain minimum distances, limit the number of boats around animals, and ensure that interactions do not cause any disturbance.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Friend of the Sea, WeWhale exceeded these requirements thanks to its commitment to innovation and sustainability\u2014most notably through the exclusive use of electric and hybrid vessels. This choice ensures a near-silent, emissions-free presence at sea, allowing whales and dolphins to behave naturally without stress from engine noise or exhaust.<\/span><\/p>\n
