La poblaci\u00f3n mundial est\u00e1 creciendo, el 60% de nosotros vive en zonas costeras. Los ecosistemas marinos est\u00e1n bajo amenaza.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

La destrucci\u00f3n del h\u00e1bitat, la contaminaci\u00f3n y la acidificaci\u00f3n de los oc\u00e9anos causada por la pesca no sostenible, el comercio mar\u00edtimo y otras actividades humanas han provocado un grave deterioro de la salud de los mares, poniendo en riesgo el acceso a los recursos marinos vitales para las generaciones futuras.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

La demanda mundial de productos pesqueros est\u00e1 creciendo r\u00e1pidamente.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

La demanda de pescado est\u00e1 creciendo casi dos veces m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido que el crecimiento de la poblaci\u00f3n humana, ejerciendo una gran presi\u00f3n sobre las poblaciones de peces. Se calcula que el 88% de las poblaciones de peces est\u00e1n hoy explotadas o sobreexplotadas plenamente.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

La acuicultura es s\u00f3lo parte de la respuesta.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

El crecimiento de la acuicultura (piscicultura) ha contribuido a mitigar la disminuci\u00f3n de la poblaci\u00f3n de peces criados en la libertad de su entorno natural y en la actualidad representa m\u00e1s del 50% del pescado destinado al consumo humano. Pero, si no se lo gestiona de forma sostenible, pueden provocarse efectos adversos en los h\u00e1bitats acu\u00e1ticos y en las poblaciones silvestres.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

La pesca ilegal, no declarada y no reglamentada (pesca INDNR) est\u00e1 aumentando.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

1 de 5 peces capturados se cree que proviene de la pesca INDNR. Los efectos medioambientales se agravan por el problema social derivado de las malas condiciones de trabajo en los barcos INDNR.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

El comercio mundial tambi\u00e9n ejerce un impacto significativo en los mares.
