With this certification, Pesca Pronta can display the Friend of the Sea eco-label on its Yellowfin Tuna products.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is very important for our mission, as well as the environment in general, to have the major seafood distribution companies commit to protecting the marine environment,\u201d said Paolo Bray, Director of Friend of the Sea. \u201cGetting seafood from the ocean to the table involves many different companies working together. The more of them who embrace sustainable practices, the better.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pesca Pronta is a nationwide leader of fresh fish product distribution in Italy. The company has a long history of focusing on quality and freshness. Sustainable practices fit well with this approach to doing business. Their Nato Libero trademark, for example, identifies fish that are not raised in breeding farms. Rather, fish with this designation have lived in pristine seas and are transferred to the Pesca Pronta in hours.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, Pesca Pronta\u2019s Crudo Sicuro brand guarantees scrupulous treatment of products to ensure low levels of potential parasites and bacteria, while preserving the organoleptic properties of the fish, its taste and original consistency.
